Sarah Lockridge-Steckel is co-founder and CEO of The Collective Blueprint, which is working to build pathways to opportunity in Memphis for the 45,000 young adults out of work and out of school. She is a co-organizer of Memphis Nonprofits Demand Action, a coalition of over 150 nonprofits demanding action to fix systemic injustices. 

The data does not show that we need more police to become a safer city. Police experts will tell you: It is more about how you use police officers, rather than how many you have.
